Yes. Tuskara rugs are designed for both contract and high-end residential use. With a wear classification of EN 1307: 23 / 31, they are suitable for areas such as hotels, offices, lounges, retail spaces, and private interiors.
What standard sizes are available?
Tuskara rugs are available in two carefully curated formats:
400 × 300 cm (rectangular)
Ø 350 cm (round)
These dimensions are selected to work well in large-scale spaces such as living areas, suites, meeting rooms, and hospitality settings.
What fire classification do the rugs meet?
When installed according to specification, Tuskara rugs meet:
DIN EN 13501-1: Cfl-s1
What is the construction and manufacturing method of the rugs?
The rugs are tufted (1/10”) with a cut pile saxony (velours) surface, offering a refined, soft appearance combined with professional durability. The production method allows for high-detail printed designs while maintaining structural stability.
What materials are used in the rug production?
Key material specifications include:
Pile material: 100% Polyamide PA 6.6
Primary backing: Woven polypropylene (PP)
Secondary backing: Felt back
This combination ensures durability, dimensional stability, and comfort underfoot
What is the pile height and overall thickness?
Pile height: approx. 9.0 mm
Total thickness: approx. 10.3 mm
This makes the rugs suitable for use under furniture and in circulation areas, while still providing a comfortable and luxurious feel.
How durable are the rugs for intensive use?
With a pile weight between approx. 1200 and 1400 g/m2 and a total weight between approx. 2500 and 2715 g/m2, our rugs are engineered for long-term performance and comfort. They meet up to comfort class LC 5 (EN 1307) and wear classification 33 for heavy commercial use, making them suitable for both residential interiors and demanding hospitality environments.
What fire classification do the rugs meet?
When installed according to specification, Tuskara rugs meet:
DIN EN 13501-1: Cfl-s1
How do the rugs perform in terms of color fastness?
The rugs score high across all fastness tests:
Light fastness: 6–7
Water fastness: 5
Rubbing fastness (dry/wet): 5 / 5
This ensures color stability even in well-lit spaces and areas with frequent use
What should designers know about pattern and color variation?
Due to the nature of cut pile carpets and digital printing, slight variations in pattern alignment, color tone, and shading (pile reversal) may occur.
These are inherent characteristics of the product and are not considered manufacturing defects.
