The Last Line is a statement rug for hotel lobbies and grand commercial spaces that divides its surface into two contrasting territories: an upper zone of weathered gold and warm stone inscribed with fine architectural linework and geometric forms, and a lower zone of dark, undulating agate-like striations in deep black, cream and chocolate brown, separated by a sinuous geological fault line edged in burnt sienna. Colourway one (TR12075 / TR12077) delivers the full contrast between gold and dark agate; the second (TR12076 / TR12078) shifts the upper territory into cooler teal and verdigris tones while maintaining the dark organic lower half. Available as a 400×300 cm rectangular custom contract rug or 350 cm round format, The Last Line is a bespoke rug for commercial projects of genuine architectural ambition, suited to dramatic hotel lobbies, luxury resort reception areas and high-end residential interiors. As a hospitality rug, it carries the scale and presence of a geological art installation, offering interior designers a luxury rug for private residences and commercial spaces where the floor defines the spatial narrative of the entire room.
Tuskara rugs are available in two carefully curated formats:
-
400 × 300 cm (rectangular)
-
Ø 350 cm (round)
These dimensions are selected to work well in large-scale spaces such as living areas, suites, meeting rooms, and hospitality settings.
When installed according to specification, Tuskara rugs meet:
-
DIN EN 13501-1: Bfl-s1
This fire rating applies when the rug is glued onto massive mineral substrates, making it suitable for most commercial and public interiors where fire safety compliance is required
Key material specifications include:
-
Pile material: 100% Polyamide PA 6.6
-
Primary backing: Woven polypropylene (PP)
-
Secondary backing: Felt back
This combination ensures durability, dimensional stability, and comfort underfoot
-
Pile height: approx. 9.0 mm
-
Total thickness: approx. 10.3 mm
This makes the rugs suitable for use under furniture and in circulation areas, while still providing a comfortable and luxurious feel.
With a pile weight of approx. 1600 g/m² and a total weight of approx. 3085 g/m², the rugs are engineered for long-term performance.
They also meet:
-
Castor chair resistance: Class A (EN 985)
-
Comfort class: LC 5 (EN 1307)
This makes them suitable for office and hospitality environments with rolling furniture.
The rugs score high across all fastness tests:
-
Light fastness: 6–7
-
Water fastness: 5
-
Rubbing fastness (dry/wet): 5 / 5
This ensures color stability even in well-lit spaces and areas with frequent use
These are inherent characteristics of the product and are not considered manufacturing defects.
